Hot extractor SoxROC

The new SoxROC is an automated hot extraction device for the extraction of fat according to the official methods. The device is based on the extraction methods of Randall and Twisselmann and uses hot solvent in a quasi-closed system to reduce the extraction time compared to manual Soxhlet extraction about 5 times.
Available with 2 or 6 positions so that up to 42 samples can be extracted per day. The SoxROC is flexibly designed and also allows extractions with other solvents and samples.
The automation of all extraction steps and an innovative sample handling system reduce the risk of errors and save time. The drawer-like sample rack facilitates filling of the instrument and the automatically lowerable heating plate allows rapid cooling.
A unique sealing system allows the recovery of over 90% of the solvent used, saving costs and protecting the environment. The same applies to the cooling water circuit, which saves water.
Safety is also paramount as the unit has IP55 ingress protection against dust and water and all valves in the vicinity of the solvent are ATEX classified. A protective shield, the possible addition of solvents when the system is closed and the simple removal of the recovered solvents complete the device.

In addition the suitable hydrolysis unit HydROC:

The hydrolysis filters can be used several times and do not require celite or quartz sand. They can be used directly in the SoxROC without first transferring the sample to another extraction vessel.
