The Crowcon F-Gas Detector is a high quality stationary infrared (IR) gas detector that provides reliable detection of freon gases. The Crowcon F-Gas Detector is available for detection of a variety of refrigerant gases and sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) and can be connected to any control system that accepts an analog signal.
The Crowcon F gas detector uses a high quality IR sensor specifically calibrated to the fluorinated gases in use. The F-gas detector operates at 24 V DC and provides a 4-20 mA signal (the output can also be set to 0-20 mA, 0-2 V, 0-5 V or 0-10 V DC).
The F-gas detector is housed in a rugged IP54 enclosure and is suitable for use in non-hazardous areas such as control rooms or switchgear rooms.
In addition to protecting personnel from toxic gases, the installation of the F-Gas detector also helps reduce the risk of releasing highly effective greenhouse gases into the environment.
