PeCOD - Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD)

PeCOD is THE new method for measuring chemical oxygen demand COD. You no longer have to worry about health and the environment, the method does not require dichromate, sulphuric acid or mercury. The PeCOD technology is faster, more environmentally friendly, more precise and less expensive than the Dichromat method and delivers reliable results for process optimization and environmental protection.  PeCOD is an easy-to-use menu-driven analyzer, ideal for rapid COD measurement to support plant process control and to monitor wastewater load. In addition to the advantages that PeCOD technology is faster, more environmentally friendly, safer and more versatile than the dichromate method, PeCOD is also suitable for a wider range of organic substances. The complete oxidation of organic compounds ensures high accuracy and reproducibility, which is why PeCOD can be used up to the ppb range. Real-time results (< 5 min) ensure that problems caused by the time delay in chemical oxidation methods no longer play a role and increase sample throughput overall. The results can also serve as a quick guide for BOD. Complete oxidation during COD determination eliminates costly and time-consuming calibrations and low cost per sample reduces laboratory costs. PeCOD ensures a safe workplace by replacing toxic and hazardous reagents in COD analysis, only one electrolyte is required. And there is no need to dispose of toxic reagents.
PeCOD is available as a laboratory model, as a portable field model and as an online model.
